Brief Description:  Canopy Rails: Rivet / File to Contour

The next step was to rivet the canopy rails to the fuselage. This wasn't too hard. I was able to reach most of the rivets with the pneumatic squeezer using the longeron yoke. The ones that I couldn't squeeze I was able to shoot/buck myself. There were a couple of rivets that were tough because of the limited access from underneath. I happened to have a very narrow bucking bar that worked well for this. It was just a little light so it took many more hits with the gun to set these. Most of my time was spent carefully filing / sanding the outer edges of the canopy rails to match the contour of the fuselage such that there was no overhang. Not difficult but it was slow going.
