Brief Description: Install Static Ports - Pop Rivets
I purchased 2 flush static ports from Aircraft spruce that look very nice but there was a timely discussion on the RV email list that many of these flush mounts cause inaccurate instrument readings. I decided to go with the simple, tried, and true method of installing Van's pop rivet static ports. I measured where I needed to drill the holes, drilled, deburred, and installed the pop rivets. Simple. I will drive out the mandrel's tomorrow. I'm a little nervous about being able to get these out without deforming the side skins.
