Today I deburred and dimpled the firewall. This was not fun, especially the edges. Stainless steel is sharp and a lot harder to work with than aluminum! When I originally built the firewall I didn't fabricate the bracket for the auxillary fuel pump since I thought I would use a fuel injected engine. I have since decided to keep things as cheap as possible and to go with a carbureted engine, which requires this bracket. So,,,I fabricated the bracket from 0.063 stock and drilled it to the firewall. The last thing that I did before closing up shop was touch-up the steel brackets with Van's touch-up paint.
