I worked on the steps a little today. The first thing that needed to be done was to remove more of the flanges of the corner ribs so that the tubes of the steps could be inserted into the fuselage staight. You can barely see the steps in the bottom picture but they are there! Next, I drilled the plastic blocks that secure the step tubes to one of the baggage ribs. I messed up one of the blocks because I didn't use enough clamps to hold it securely to the drill press table. I'll order another block sometime down the road when I place another order with Van's.
