Brief Description:  Begin Riveting Leading Edge

I spent a little time riveting part of the bottom side of the leading edge myself. This was awkward because I couldn't really secure the leading edge and it tended to rock while I was riveting. I completed about half the skin and decided to stop until I had some help. My brother Ben will be visiting from N.Y. this weekend and is looking forward to learning how to rivet. After I set the leading edge aside, I started countersinking the bottom of the spar for the skins. This is very time consuming because the flange is too thin for the pilot on the countersink bit so I have to clamp a thicker piece of aluminum on the inside face of the flange so the pilot has enough material to support it. Otherwise the holes come out oblong from the bit moving around. The two rows of holes that need to be countersunk on both the bottom and the top flange of the spar seem never ending.
