Brief Description: Position & Drill FF-709 Oil Cooler Doubler to Part
Once the top edges of the left side and aft baffles were final trimmed I could properly position the FF-709 oil cooler doubler on the aft baffle to provide enough clearance between the oil cooler and the upper cowl. I clamped the doubler to the aft baffle and then match drilled the parts together using the pre-drilled holes in the doubler as a guide.
Next I drilled 1/2" holes for each corner of the oil cooler cutout in the aft baffle and then used a cutoff wheel in the dremel tool to make the cuts between the corners. After deburring the edges I fabricated the FF-713 spacer from a 0.063 sheet and match drilled this to both the baffle and oil cooler doubler.
