Brief Description: Begin Riveting Subpanel Components
Today I spent an hour riveting together some of the subpanel components. I clamped the center section in the bench vise and then riveted the hat, seal angle, and end ribs to the subpanel using the rivet gun and a variety of bucking bars. This was the first shooting/bucking that I've done by myself in quite some time. Everything turned out great. Once the center section was done, I used the squeezer to rivet the outboard seal angles to the outboard subpanels. The two ribs were then riveted to the outboard subpanels. Just the two top rivets were set since all of the lower rivets are also used to fasten the center section to the outboard subpanel sections. One thing to note on the outboard sections, I trimmed the outer portion of the bottom flanges since these were interfering with the fuel vent line.
