Brief Description: Drill Side Covers; Install Backrest Nutp
I finished up the flap motor housing today. The first thing that I did was match-drill the left side cover. The lower flanges of both covers needed to be notched around the seat hinges on the floors. I needed to do this since I had moved the hinges inboard slightly in order to prevent the canopy from hitting the seatbacks as other builders had experienced. I also had to notch the left side cover to fit around the upper flap motor mount bolt. Once the side covers were match drilled, I removed them both, along with the vertical backrest channel. I then deburred and edge prepped the backrest channel. I also dimpled and installed the nutplates on the flanges.
