Brief Description: Drill Nutplate Holes in Z-Brackets
I used an old nutplate as a guide in drilling the rivet holes for all of the nutplates on the outer 6 Z-brackets. I basically bolted the nutplate to the bracket, aligned the wings to the center line, and then clamped the nutplate in place with a side-grip cleco. Then I drilled one of the rivet holes, added a cleco, removed the side-grip cleco, and then drilled the other nutplate rivet hole. This went quickly. The z-brackets are now ready to be countersunk for the nutplate rivets.
