There were several entries on the RV List referring to how others have delt with the small tabs on the elevator skin. Several people just cut these tabs off altogether and then formed a small rib to rivet in place. I decided to do this since I wasn't happy with the crack and crooked edge that I ended up with. I used the dremel with a cutoff wheel to trim off the messed up tabs. You can see the RTV compound that I used to help seal the crack. I ended up using gasket cleaner to dissolve this and clean things up so a small end rib can be fitted.
