Brief Description: DB Masonry - Rebuilding the Wall
DB Masonry took the next couple of days and toothed out the blocks along the edges of their originally cut out hole and then reblocked the wall back together. They ran steel rebar down through the toothed joints between the existing block and the new block and filled the cavities with concrete. They also ran rebar down through the center of the wall and reinstalled the window. They also used denser block than what was originally in there along with the best morter mix they could find. This wall is much stronger now than it was before the Big Dig.
Once the block was in place they parged the outside of the wall with concrete, let everything dry over the weekend and then sealed the outside on Monday morning.
The township just needs to stop by for a quick inspection and then Gleim can come back and fill in the hole.
