Brief Description:  Fiberglass Empennage Tip Fairings

These are more pictures of the horizontal stabilizer and elevator tips after I applied the first coats of microbeads. I also rounded the edges of the fiberglass tips and covered the gaps over the lead weights. These are now just about ready for fiberglass filler and sealer. For anyone looking at this site for information about fiberglassing, I now realize it would be a huge time saver to do all the empennage fiberglass while the rudder, vertical stabilizer, horizontal stabilizer, and elevators are off the fuselage. Access is obviously much better because you can get into the spaces to sand and apply lox or micro beads. If I had to do it all over again, I would have fiberglassed as I completed the construction of all the individual components.
