Brief Description:  Finish Epoxy Coats on Nose Fairings/ Wheel Pants

This fiberglass finishing really sucks. I’ve had many regrets about building a VANs RV, but at one time, I was thinking of building an entirely fiberglass airplane. Clearly, if I had done that I would not have survived to be complaining about how much I STILL dislike doing fiberglass work. The RV saying every builder knows all too well is, “When you think you are 95% done, CONGRATULATIONS, you still have 90% of all your work and time remaining.” I fully understand that now! I’ve spent the last two weeks applying finish coats of Epoxy and microbeads to my “messy” Nose Wheel Pants Upper Cover Plate; and to the rest of the front and aft Wheel Pant sections. I’ve also embedded Tinnerman Washers over every screw hole and applied the 3 epoxy wet coats. I’ve refitted and refashioned every connecting interface and I no longer have any pinholes, gaps, flaws, or other equivocality’s to make me say very bad things and throw wrenches, screwdrivers, or even better yet, hammers. Yea…now just shoot me!
