Brief Description: Fabricating Spinner Cut-Out Hole Gap Filler
The RV-14 plans had a full-scale template for the Cut-Out Hole Gap Filler which I overlayed onto the material left after making the initial cut. I cut the template shape out of the material, measured where rivets would be installed into the Spinner Aft Hub Plate, drilled #40 holes and clecoed the assembly. Next, I fabricated backer bracing plates, primed, painted, countersunk, and riveted onto the Gap Fillers on both sides of the Spinner. I had to adjust the shape of the gap filler to match my propeller blade curvature and allow for the adjustable pitch of the blades.
