Brief Description:  Installing the Fiberglass Spinner (Cont.)

With the main blade-opening hole cut on each side of the Spinner, I measured 11/16” from the edges of each of the sides of the opening and made a mark. I then strung a string from each of the marks similar to the way I determined the 180 degree marks and divided this into two to mark the center, then divided each of these into four equal parts to get the exact marking where the screw platenuts would be located. I marked the spinner, installed it onto the fore and aft spinner hub plates with the cutout hole just bypassing each of the propeller blades. I used a #40 bit to drill the center hole for the platenuts and clecoed the spinner onto the hubs. Next, I enlarged the platenut center holes to #30, deburred and clecoed. The radial alignment of platenut center holes between the fore and aft hub plates essentially lines up, will be balanced when the propeller is spinning, and is the reason I measured/marked my initial string for the platenut locations the way I did.
