As I’ve mentioned several times before, the “Pink” Cowls were not manufactured very well. In several places, especially where the top and bottom cowls mate in the front, there are gaps and incongruities that are up to ¼” off their alignments. It’s nothing a bunch of fiberglass won’t fix, but it’s extremely time consuming. In the pictures below, I show some of these fiberglass repairs I did while I was waiting for the cowl-pin cover fiberglass backing to cure. In the end, after copious amounts of messing-around sanding and fitting; I think they turned out very well.
