I spent the better part of two days finishing the Oil Access Door using microbeads to fill in the inset area corners to make them match the “new” door to make them more concentric and professional looking. It looks very good now and I’ll show some new pictures when I finally refinish the surface of the upper and lower cowling for paint. I decided to finish the Empennage Fairing Fiberglass to fill in all the fiberglass pinholes. I also have to do some minute filling around the Timmerman Washers so I have absolutely no washer-lip-lines when final painting. After doing a light sanding to ensure the shape and form are correct. I filled all the areas where I could see pinholes in the fiberglass finish. The first two pictures show how much microbead filler I needed. I carefully re-sanded the empennage and then sprayed on a primer-filler to see if I missed any pinholes. Then, I re-sanded with150, then 180 grit sandpaper and you would think I never filled in a single pinhole.
