I applied the 5 layers of fiberglass cloth, followed with a layer of peel ply, and allowed it to cure for 3 days before sanding smooth. The layup went well but it took a lot of hours to get multiple layers applied wet. After sanding, I measured where to install the louvers, then drilled and clecoed the 18 holes for each louver. Next, I marked the holes which will be the center points for a step-down drill and redrilled these holes with a ¼” bit so the step-down drill wouldn’t “wander” from its center point.
