Brief Description: Modify Front Baffles and Install Rubber Seals
Today I decided to modify the front engine baffles to match the curvatures of the Intake Ramps. This wasn’t my original plan so I had to cut the baffles in-place using tin-snips and a file. It wasn’t a lot of fun, but now the rubber seals will overlap onto the intake ramps and air will flow better onto the engine. After cutting the baffles, I modified the rubber seals and installed them. After finishing with the seals, I sanded the epoxied intake ramps and put on one more coat of microbeads in some areas that sanded out a little bit too low. I will let that cure a couple days and do a final re-sanding. From there, I plan to fit and install an oil filler door onto the top cowl.
