Brief Description:  Cut Cowl Intake for New Filter

I trimmed the left cowl intake several times to exactly match the filter hold-down mechanism I fabricated. Once I was sure the bottom cowl cleared the inlet ramp filter hold-down, I measured another ¼” clearance for the rubber baffling material that eventually gets riveted to the upper and lower cowl inlets. These pictures show the exact clearance, then the cut lines, and lastly the final cut. It looks pretty good and although it’s been a lot of messing around with fabrication, I’m happy with the final rendition.
