Now it’s time to fabricate the filter hold-down. VAN’s instructions did have some fairly good pictures of the mounting support brackets and recommended placement of K1100 Nutplates for the Steel AN526C632R8 Screws. Since I hadn’t emptied my garbage can, I took those crumpled pictures out of the garbage and actually used something just as the plans described. I had to invent my own side and front filter hold down mechanisms, but these should work very well.
