Hindsight is 20/20 and now that the holes were drilled, I surmised, “That was probably a bad idea!” I tried installing 2 of the 4 bolts and the holes for the 2 easiest bolt to install where nowhere close to where they were supposed to be. Good thing this is fiberglass! So, next I cut a small “Cheetos-Shaped-Hole” in the top of the snorkel so the alternator mounting brackets would clear…hmmm, not big enough. So, I cut a bigger “Cheetos-Shaped-Hole” …still not big enough, because now the body of the alternator mount was still in the way. Finally, I cut a mega- “L” -shaped- “Cheetos-Shaped-Hole”; now the size of a small potato, and the snorkel is finally flush with the Bendix RSAS injector air throttle body! But my 4 drilled holes are way-off where they should be located to get the bolts inserted. Not a problem…grossly enlarge the holes, insert bolts dipped in grease and wrapped in “Suran-Plastic Food Wrap”; fill in with epoxy and micro-beads, then use fender-washers to cover up the mess while it all dries! DONE!
