Brief Description:  Cut, Fit, Bend the Front-Center Baffles

Before I fabricated the Front-Center Baffles (CB-711A and CB 701A), I needed to insure both front ramps (CB-1002A & CB-710A had the correct vertical angles as-well-as clearance for the rubber seals. The first picture shows they are trimmed and angled correctly. After I made the necessary adjustments, it took two days to cut, trim, fit and bend the front-center baffles. The tough part was aligning the holes VANs predrilled, then creating the angle brackets to match. When I fabricated the angle-brackets I relocated two of them on the left side to accommodate the air filter and fiberglass snorkel attached to the fuel injection system. The OP-40 plans didn’t even mention this is where the fuel injection intake connects, so once again, modifications were required. I dry-fit the fiberglass snorkel and it appears I will need some careful measuring/fitting to make it work. I may have to cut curved notches to accommodate the starter and re-fiberglass where the notches go. It may fit, as-is; but if it does it’s going to be extremely tight!
