Pic #1 and #2 show examples of what other builders made to create an additional brace going from the oil cooler to the engine block. I tried to do the same as Pic #2 but I have to deal with fuel injection servo lines, so I made the brace you see in Pic #3. As it turns out, I didn’t use this bracing because the 1/8” angle aluminum and all the bracing all the way around the top of the CB-705A and CB-706A baffles on the aft left side of the engine, are strong enough to shake the entire airplane when you pull on them and the oil cooler flange does not move at all. So, even though I drilled a upper and lower mounting hole for attachment bolts, I filled the baffle mounting hole with a small bolt, fender washer, and metal locknut.
