Brief Description:  Received New I0-360M1B Vetterman Crossover Exhaust

Today I decided to take a break from Cowling Installation and make sure the new RV-7 I0-360M1B Vetterman Crossover Exhaust System actually fits. It took about 3 hours to get it installed. It fits nicely around the nose gear. I am still peeved VANs wouldn’t exchange the RV-8 IO-360M1B compatible they incorrectly sent me 14 years ago. They suggested I sell it on the VANs Forum. I wasn’t my screw-up and the new one cost me another $1,100. Once I finish the cowling installation, I will have to remove ½ of the exhaust that connects cylinders 1 & 3 to re-fabricate (for the 4th time) the Throttle Control mounting bracket and insert a exhaust-shield. You can see the Throttle Control is touching the new Vetterman Crossover Exhaust. This mount is another of VANs OOPS…we didn’t update the plans, issues. I’ve pretty much decided from here-on-out I’m using my hanger-mates RV-14 plans and adjusting as I go along.
