These are more pictures of final reiterations of aligning/marking what needs to be sanded/removing the cowl/sanding/and replacing the cowl. I am very happy with the fit. I am very glad I did not follow any of VANs instructions!!! They did not update any of their plans after they introduced the “Pepto-Bismo Pink” Cowlings and had I followed the original plans, I would have ruined the upper cowl and had to do many hours of fiberglass repair work…AND I HATE FIBERGLASS REPAIR OF ANYTHING! Anyway, next I’ll drill and fit my SkyBolt Quarter-Turn fasteners to the upper cowl, so I can securely keep it from moving before I do the overlap tape, marking, cutting, and sanding the lower cowl. I have looked at multiple other builder’s blogs and anticipate some fitting issues, but I’ll try be careful and patient.
