Brief Description: Cutting the Firewall Fire-Shield
Today, I cut the Fire-Shield. This will need to be cut into panels with slits in multiple places to fit around everything, but I’m confident all the cuts are accurate. I still have to fill-in all the potential leakage areas on the firewall with fuel-tank sealant diluted with MEK prior to installing this Fire-Shield. Additionally, I have to install all the Sky Bolt Z-Loc Fasteners for the upper and lower cowlings before I install the Fire-Shield because I won’t be able to get a bucking-bar on the rivets for the fasteners. It will likely take me the rest of the week to get these three things done, but after this, I will finally install the engine. I’m pretty excited about that!
