Brief Description: Removing Firewall Piano Hinges to Install Sky Bolt
Today, I removed the firewall Piano Hinges I installed nearly a year ago. This is what I would normally used to mount the top cowling, but the pins are too tight for me to pull them through the cowling oil filler hole. I plan to use Sky Bolt Z-Loc Fasteners instead of the piano hinges. Next, I will install the firewall fire-shield but have to create templates to cut around all the ‘stuff’ I have mounted on the firewall. I expect that will be a 2-3 day process over the next week.
