Brief Description:  New battery, Redesigned Hold-Down, Moved Alt-Air

While I was working on the panel lights, my aircraft battery failed. I think what happened was my charger malfunctioned and over charged the battery last winter; or maybe it just shorted out when the Alt Air Cable touched the hot leads on the starter contactor solenoid, sizzled some belly fat and started my shirt on fire. Yeah, I really wish I was done building this airplane. In any case, I had to buy a new battery. When I attempted to remove the old battery, the battery hold-down I designed and installed years ago before I installed the motor mounts, no longer had the clearance to open to remove the battery. After saying a lot of bad words, I removed the battery hold down, redesigned and built a new one that opens from the side, and also moved the Fuel Injection System Alternate Air Actuation Cable. I repaired the hole in the firewall and removed some of the hinge material from the old battery hold-down brace. The good news is, the hold down is lighter, simpler, and I can remove the battery from the side with adequate clearance from the engine mounts.
