Brief Description: Clear-Coat Epoxied the Garmin GPS Antenna
Many months ago, when I repaired some dents made riveting the turtle-deck, I inadvertently sprayed some epoxy primer on the Garmin GPS antenna. I used Acetone to remove the paint and unfortunately, I also removed the clear coat finish on the Garmin 430W GPS Antenna. Today, I masked off the rear turtle deck and sprayed on 5 coats of clear epoxy on the antenna. The pictures don’t show any difference, but now the antenna has a high gloss protective coat of clear epoxy.
