I assembled the Canopy Handle, Bushing, Latch Arm and Castle Nut, then temporarily installed the latch assembly into the canopy frame to see how much of the frame tubing needed to be cut. Next, I removed the excess tubing on the frame and measured the excess Handle Tubing length. After removing the excess length for the correct hook level. I temporarily reassembled the Latch Assembly and installed it into the canopy frame. In order to close the latch onto the hook, I had to cut off the excess material on the latch arm. Next, I reassembled the Latch Assembly and reinserted it into the canopy frame tubing to insure proper closing. It closed very nicely, but it also shifted the canopy to the left when it is completely closed and latched. I guess I’ll have to shim the windshield on the roll bar to get everything to line up when I do the final fiberglass trim strip. That’s all I have time to work on this today.
