Brief Description: Received, Installed, and wired PowerGuard Module
Received and Mounted the Composite Design PowerGuard on the Dropdown panel and completed all the wiring for Automated Backup Power controls with integration between the Alternator, Primary, and Secondary TCW Backup Battery. The PowerGuard is an Essential Buss Management Circuit designed to protect power sensitive and critical electronics. Since my airplane will have an electronic ignition, starting currents will typically be high enough to cause battery voltage drops and critical electronics like my GRT EFIS and engine monitoring system will likely fall off-line when I start the engine leaving me without critical engine information (oil pressure/ temp etc. until the EFIS and EIS reboot. Protection includes low voltage drop-out prevention and essential backup in the event of primary power loss. Filtration on the secondary power supply and secondary battery are integral parts of the circuitry. A second battery is required for PowerGuard for the emergency supply. Completed the Excel Spreadsheet Integration for these components to insure proper wiring and integration.
