Brief Description: Rewired all previously installed wiring in fuselag
In reviewing all the wiring I did a couple years ago, I realized a potential for chafing and many of the electrical terminals were not crimped satisfactorily. I purchased the expensive, but correct terminal crimpers and enclosed all wiring in the fuselage in plastic conduit...especially where the wires and/or antenna leads pass through rubber clamps or grommets. I also removed all zip-ties which I previously used to secure wires into bundles. After installing the plastic conduit, I secured with commercial zip-ties and metal/rubber clamps. Additionally, I removed all plastic clamps as I have learned they get brittle and fail over time. Overall, the wiring is neater, will not chaff, and all the terminals should be good.
Installed protective plastic conduit on all wires and antenna leads
Installed new bushings and bundled leads so no antenna leads ran within 18 inches of electrical runs
All wiring from the tail, fuselage, and wings enclosed in plastic conduit
