What a fantastic optional upgrade. I added the parking brake. It is a simple, double valve that intercepts the final line as it connects the brake master cyclinders at the pedal with the brake caliper on each main wheel. You simply put pressure on the brakes with the pedals, then pull the lever which closes the valves, maintaining brake pressure in the lines after you release the pedals. It can be interesting when you shut down at your tie down spot on a windy day. You have to hold the brakes, then jump out quick enought to catch the light plane as it rolls downwind, then try to hold it while you choke it. An amazing skill no doubt, but I much prefere this option. Of course you wouldn't leave it overnight, but it sure will be handy to hold the plane while you chock it or tie it down.
