Brief Description:  Fuselage in primer

Wow it's been a while!!! Progress has certainly been slow due to being busy with other things and learning the whole paint process. I primed the entire fuselage, discovering that I didn't have my primer mixed correctly so it went on like ceiling texture :-((( Turns out I neglected to thoroughly mix the primer Part A before adding the catalyst and distilled water. I payed dearly for that mistake by hours and hours of hand sanding to get the primer flat. I really noticed how many rivets are in this plane when I had to carefully hand sand around each one! Oh well... I finally got it ready to go, and then got ready to put the midnight black on. I learned another important lesson... the hard way!

I sanded the primer in the same room (the only one I have). Although I vacummed and blew out the room, I really should have put up new plastic walls. Turns out the primer sanding dust from the walls (even thought I blew them off also) slightly effecting my paint job, little tiny bumps here and there. At least its on the belly of the aircraft ;-) I also received my custom designed and constructed motor mount from Dan Weseman of SPA. That guy does some serious quality work and is easy to talk to.
