This pic may be decieving, it is NOT just a hose bent 90 degrees to make the connection. The corrugated, hard aluminum tube is bent to make a full flow 90 turn to meet the tank fitting. After looking at the connection, I decided to go with a longer piece of hose allowing the hose to fully cover the tubing as extra support and protection until the plastic water line takes over. If you look carefully at the gap between the hose and the water line, you can see the actual aluminum fuel line inside. The second clamp from the tank catches the hard line just as it touched the tank fitting... The clamp closed to the rib was added just to give the hose extra support in following the aluminum line within around the turn.
