Brief Description: Install seat heater wiring and switches
Oshkosh is finished for another year. If I could have focused on the plane in the first half of the year, I might have had it flying already. Oh well. Back to the seat heaters. The cascade of changes caused by planning for two switches rather than the one that came with the heaters. A new switch plate had to be engraved. All of the two-switch wiring had to be removed. The wire harness that came with the heaters had to be installed. The power assignments in the VPX had to be redone including depinning two connectors and changing the gauge of the wiring. After testing each heating element (a task made easy by the amp readout of the VPX) I found the left and right were mixed up and had to be rerouted.
In the end, all is together and working. All of the center panels, center stack and seats are in and looking spectacular. Glad to have that job done. Many smaller tasks got done along the way. Trying to clean up the little things left undone as I go.
