The interior work continues with my hired upholstery guy. He is an exceptionally skilled custom car interior person. This is his first (and perhaps last) airplane! Soo many challenging fit and finish issues.
Each panel must be gapped to allow the leather to wrap around the edges and still fit. After Don wraps each part, I then poke holes and make any adjustments to get a tight clean fit. In some cases I disassemble and then follow along to reassemble areas that will be hard to access after they are covered. From the rear seat back is now completely wrapped, the headliner complete, all of the access panels are wrapped and ready to fit back in place. The seat embroidery panels are complete. Once the seat covers are done the seats will come back to my shop for installation.
Only front and rear seat footwell carpet and front closeout panels to go. Nothing goes on the firewall
