With most of the aluminum work done, I am moving on to the various tasks to install specific systems.
I have had the ELT on the shelf in a box for a few months. I have been puzzling out where and how I wanted to install as mentioned before. The primary questions are access for maintance and antenna placement. I added a panel directly behind the baggage bulkhead, right side to mount the radio. The antenna, I placed directly behind the right door. It will extend up the canopy (what would be called the B-pillar in an automobile) pillar and follow the inside surface. I will be creating a pillar trim to cover the antenna. It worked out well as the coax was the perfect length as provided in the kit. The remote test and indicator mini-panel was run forward and will be installed in the (as yet to be determined location) instrument panel.
I finally finished up the rear seat backs by priming and riveting.
