Brief Description:  Painting details

Some might ask where the concept for the paint comes from. I wanted something that spoke to the wonder I feel when flying. One of my favorite things to do is play amongst the clouds. So that became the background. My dad is very much into Indian culture and has been making Indian art work for as long as I can remember, being very, very skilled and knowledgeable. Some years ago he posed for two portraits in gear he had made. One became the cover of the book ‘Hanta Yo’ and the other a fine art painting by Larry Windborg titled ‘Windwalker’. ‘Windwalker’ is an Indian shaman from the Crow tribe (if I have my facts straight) ‘WIndwalker’ is the name of my airplane and a tribute to my dad.

The tail art left and right are the two portraits of my dad (with some artistic license). The beveled glass ‘N’ number is from my earlier days doing beveled stained glass to work my way through college. The left sunrise scene mountains are from my wife’s origin in Connecticut, the right red rock mountain sunset from my origin of Utah. The peace pipe and arrows under the ‘Windwalker” logo are part of my dad’s hand made collection of Indian artwork.

So there you have it. This completes my build log. Best of luck on your project. Please feel free to contact me at leok4880@gmail.com or through VAF as Leok if you have any questions, or just want to get together and talk airplanes.
