Brief Description:  Contiued working on forward subpanel.

I returned from Viginia after attending a Navy change-of-command and retirement ceremony for my step-son. He spent 30 years on active duty and retired as a Captain. The Navy's traditional ceremony is very inspiring.

I continued working on the forward subpanel which required some stiffener angles to be added after I had cut out the radio stack hole. The subpanel became very flimsy with the cutout. I cut two 15" angles (0.063 x 3/4 x 3/4"); one for the top and one for the bottom of the cutout. I used C-clamps to hold them in place while I match drilled the angles to the subpanel. Tomorrow I will cut two more angles for the sides of the cutout and match drill them to the subpanel. I'll debur, scuff, and prime the angles and then rivet them in place. This will give a rigid structure to attach the radio trays at their forward ends.
