Brief Description:  Wired copilot stick grip to terminal blocks.

On Monday I pulled the last wires from the Safety-Trim and Flap Controller harnesses from just aft of the FW to the terminal blocks under the copilot's seat. Today we started the wiring from the copilot's stick grip to the terminal blocks. Each stick grip has 16 wires in the blue cable that connect to the left side of the terminal. Each wire has a pin that inserts and locks into the terminal. The right side of the terminal is just a continuation of the 16 wires that have female sockets to accept the pins from the left side. The pins and sockets are easy to crimp if you are careful. I had only 16 pins and sockets for each connector so I couldn't screw up. Somehow I didn't screw up on the copilot's connector. We had to make short wires with labels to connect from the connector to the terminal blocks and crimp the wire terminals over the canopy rail with the fuselage rotated. A very tedious process but somehow we accomplished it without too much cursing and consternation.

After finishing wiring the copilot's stick, Charlotte got to acuate all the switches on the grip as I tested for the proper continuity check. Wow, it checked!!! We will both take some IB-profen tonight for our backs.
