Today I studied the firewall forward kit drawings to determine the firewall penetration locations for the fuel line, prop cable, throttle cable, mixture cable, and cabin heat selector box. I marked the locations with a fine black Sharpie and realized that I really needed to temporarily hang the engine to verify the locations.
I have a Mattituck TMX IO-360 with a horizontal induction which is supposed to be just like the Lycoming IO-360M1B that Van's sells. I'd rather verify the locations than to blindly trust the drawings although they are supposed to be close for my engine. I need to drill the engine mount anyway so it is a good time to do it. Tommorrow.
