Brief Description:  Contiuing the canopy fitting.

We had realized that bending the canopy frame would be difficult unless you could measure the bend after each attempt. I, therefore, decided to create a bending table by drilling 1 1/2" peg holes into the MDF and a 3/4" piece of plywood to hold pegs so that I could place blocks and shims while attempting to bend.

I traced an extension of the turtledeck skin (with the frame full forward to the roll bar) by taping a piece of cardboard to the rear of the aft bow and then splitting a pencil lengthwise to trace the extension of the skin. This gave me a template (after cutting the cardboard trace) to trace the skin moldline on the MDF table. The idea is to attempt a bend and then measure the difference as compared to the trace. It took most of Friday to make the talble and cut the holes (I bought a Rigid hole kit at Home Depot). I guessed at where the holes should be and found that I would need more holes close to the trace.
