Brief Description:  Trying to fit canopy frame.

After returning from visiting our daughter and 19 old granddaughter we decided to mount the canopy frame to how well it fit. We noted right away that the front bow was higher than the roll bar than the allowed 3/8".

We proceeded to cut off 1/8" on both ends of the front bow where they fit over the roller assembly to lower it within the allowed 3/8" tolerance. I used a hacksaw since we could not use the bandsaw. We cut off another 1/8" on both sides to finally get the correct tolerance. We saved the small rings that we cut off in the event that we needed them as spacers later.

We noted that the aft bow was not within the tolerance of being 1/16" inside the turtledeck skin. The right side will have to be bent down and in while the left side will need to come out and up. This should hopefully put the side bows within the 1/16" tolerance inside the side skin mold line.
