Brief Description:  Finished static system to panel, accomplished SB.

While waiting for a new top forward fuselage skin, I decided to crawl into the back and glue the static ports using fuel tank sealant. We had a one ounce cup of the sealant that we used also on the firewall recess for sealing. I used stick-on nylon tiewrap pads (bought at Home Depot) to secure the tubing along the fuselage skin on the bulkhead and along the skin just below the top longeron. I don't want to drill holes into the longerons, stringers, or strengthners to eliminate stress risers and to mitigate possible fatigue failure.

I also discovered some service bulletins on Van's website that I didn't know about. I accomplished the one on the passenger stick by drilling a hole through the stick socket and stick and added a bolt, washer, and nylock nut to keep the stick from coming out. The other service bulletin concerns the fuel pickup tube in the tanks from loosening and falling off. I've already sealed my tanks but have not installed the wings yet. This will be a pure pain in the you know where, so I'm delaying it until I get some tools to remove the sealant. A safey wire is called out to secure the AN fitting nut to the antirotation flange. One has to drill a hole through the nut to install the safety wire. If only I had known before I sealed the tanks!

We made measurements to attach the rollbar, but have not drilled any holes yet until we do an indepth study of the drawings and instructions.
