Brief Description:  Installed brake reservoir.

Finally, after the holidays were over we got back to work on the project. We had gone to Virginia for Thanksgiving and as soon as we got back had to get ready for Christmas. Frustrating, walking right by the airplane fuselage in the gargage but not touching it.

Before the holidays, I had marked the position for the brake reservoir on the front of the firewall in the upper right corner. I had to drill a couple of holes for the attaching bolts that went through the stainless steel firewall and the top firewall structual angle. Another hole had to be drilled for the outlet tee. The tee is an AN pipe fitting into the reservoir with flare fittings for the hoses going to the master cylinders on the copilot's brakes. The only difficulty was deciding how many washers to install between the reservoir and the firewall to keep it from interfering (touching) with the angled part of the firewall. I used 3 washers on each bolt.

It felt good to do something after doing nothing for over a month! Actually, I was reading about the electrical system that I have yet to create. I also ordered an IO-360 engine from Mattituck, the finishing kit, an Airflow boost pump kit, and an Andair fuel selector from Van's before the prices went up on New Years day.
