Brief Description:  Begin FW insulation job.

Today I took the 24" wide 0.002" thick stainless steel foil and cut it to fit the FW. The foil is 309 stainless steel and is good to 2100 degrees F in the event of a fire.

I cut a length about 41 1/2" long and with Charlotte's help we taped it to the FW just above the top FW bend line. The ends hung over both sides about a half inch while the bottom was even with the bottom mold line, so I took a Sharpie pen and traced the side wall mold lines. We then removed the foil and cut it inside the lines to allow for the FW and side skin thickness. I used leather gloves to handle the foil because it is as sharp as a razor.

I then marked the FW with the Sharpie everyplace that I wanted a #40 hole drilled for the stainless steel rivets which will hold the insulation in the stainless steel sandwich. I drilled the holes and deburred them while thinking about how to handle the recess. Too much thinking for one day!!
