Brief Description:  Installed aileron bellcranks onto QB wings.

I thought that I could quickly install the bellcranks, but as always it took twice as long a I thought. After rounding up the bushings and bellcranks, I discovered that I had to drill out the bushings to accept the AN4-32A bolt. The bolt had to slip fit into the brass bushings. I set up the bushings into drill press vise between two pieces of wood to not scratch them. The bellcrank rotates around the bushing. I drilled them using a 1/4" bit and Boelube. It worked ok. One bolt slipped into the bushing perfectly while the other needed a little coaxing.

I had to remove the hinge brackets that were already bolted to the spar to get the bolt through the top bracket, bushing, then the bottom bracket. Oh, yes, I did lubricate the bushing and inside the bellcrank tube with some Valvoline Dura-Blend grease before I rebolted the hinge brackets back to the spar. This was my first opportunity to use my new 1/4" CDI torque wrench as I torqued the AN3 bolts to 20-25 in-lbs.
