Brief Description:  Assembled the aileron hinges.

Charlotte and I rounded up all the plates, angles and fasteners. Plates included W-413A-L and R, W-413B-L and R, and W-414A-L and R. Angles included W413C-L and R, W-413D-L and R, and W-414C-L and R. Fasteners included AN426AD-4-7, AN470AD4-9 and -11.

We clecoed the parts together and final drilled the holes with #30 drill.
We countersunk the holes that took the flush rivets (noting the correct side of the plates).
We disassembled the hinges and deburred, smoothed edges using the Scotch Brite wheel on the grinder, and scuffed the plates and angles for priming.

I primed the parts using Dupont A-4115S Self Etching Primer from a spray can.

We riveted the assemblies using the Cleaveland hand squeezer because the pneumatic squeezer would not squeeze the AN470AD4-9 or -11 rivets. It seems the set holder is too long and the rivets are too long for its cam action to reach full pressure. Even the hand squeezer could not get a square squeeze near the angle flanges when 2 angles had to be riveted on 2 plates. We quit for the night discussing about drilling out the short angle rivets that used the 470-11's.
